The Flying Metal Nuisance quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley introduces players to crucial expansion content on Eternity Isle. Completing this objective allows players to reclaim the Royal Hourglass tool and build trust with iconic characters. Understanding each step ensures a smooth transition through the early story content of A Rift in Time.
Finding the Target and Investigating EVE's Home
Players begin by heading across the bridge from the Docks in Ancient's Landing to confront the unknown entity. You will discover EVE guarding the Royal Hourglass, who remains distrustful of your presence. Speak with Jafar at a nearby Hologram Station to receive guidance on searching EVE's house for clues.
Inside EVE's spaceship home, clear away the junk piles scattered across the floor. Uncovering a hidden memory paper reveals a photograph of EVE enjoying a meal with someone in a robot costume. Take this finding back to Jafar to determine your next course of action.
Locating the Hidden Robot Suit Behind the Waterfall
To replicate the appearance shown in the memory, travel to the hidden area behind the beach waterfall near Scrooge's shop. Use your Royal Pickaxe to clear any blocking obstacles at the secret entrance. Inside, open the chest to acquire both the Robot Hat and Robot Costume.
Equip both costume pieces from your Wardrobe menu before returning to speak with EVE. Wearing the full costume prompts EVE to grant you the recipe for Best Fish Forever. She requires this specific dish to fully confirm your identity as a trusted friend.
Gathering Ingredients for the Best Fish Forever Dish
Preparing the recipe requires collecting four distinct ingredients found across Ancient's Landing. You will need one Cumin plant gathered from white flower patches and one Celery grown from seeds purchased at Goofy's Stall. Additionally, fish in blue ripples for a Sea Snail and orange ripples for a Robot Fish.
Head to a cooking station to combine all four ingredients into the requested meal. Delivering the dish to EVE earns her complete trust and grants access to the Royal Hourglass. Finally, report back to Jafar at the broken bridge to successfully complete the mission.
